Inside Southeastern Baseball’s new season is set to kick off Monday

HAMMOND, Louisiana – The 2022 edition of Inside Southeastern Baseball featuring matt riser is set to debut Monday at noon from the terrace of Pour House Pizza and Beer Garden.

Riser will join co-host Allen Waddell at lunchtime every Monday this season for the 60-minute show, talking about the latest in Southeast baseball. Each week, select Lion players will also join the duo. Pour House is located at 505 W. Thomas St. in Hammond.

The show will initially air online at www.LionSports.net/listenlive and through the Lions Gameday Experience, MyTuner Radio and Mixlr apps. The MyTuner Radio app is compatible with the Apple CarPlay software available in most modern automobiles.

LIONS GAMEDAY EXPERIENCE APP

The Lions Gameday Experience app puts audio, stats, video, social media and more in the hands of fans. Attendees can also check in to earn reward points redeemable for Southeast-related prizes. Available for Android and iOS devices, it can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play or by following the link www.LionSports.net/App.

A robust non-conference schedule awaits SLU in 2022, with nearly a third of the overall competition and more than half of its road slate against teams that qualified for the NCAA playoffs last year. The Lions will face three opponents ranked in the Top 5 of the preseason, Arkansas ranked No. 2, LSU ranked No. 4 and Ole Miss ranked No. 5.

SLU will host 28 home games, representing more than half of its regular season schedule. The annual Southland Conference attendance leader welcomes playoff attendees Louisiana Tech (March 2), Ole Miss (March 15), South Alabama (April 19) and Southern Miss (April 26) to Hammond.

The season opener is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday against SIUE at the Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. The three-game series continues at 2 p.m. Saturday and ends with a first pitch at 1 p.m. Sunday.
