It is almost official that, to download an application, we search android for the Play Store, better known as Google store, however, there are options to not make so much use of it, here we tell you how.
The most common situation is that the screen is broken or not working, and we cannot click the Play Store icon. Although it could also be that the Play Store does not work properly or gives us an error, and we simply cannot enter to install an application.
How to install apps on Android without opening the Google Play Store on the device
In all these cases, we must find a solution that allows us to install applications on the device without having to resort to the App Store on our phone.

1- Install apps remotely by accessing Play Store from PC
If you have a desktop or laptop computer, you can install apps remotely without having to open the Play Store on your phone. Just open the browser and go to the Play Store website with the same Google account that we use on our Android device.
This will allow us to install applications remotely without having to touch the phone. Of course, make sure that the mobile phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network (normally with the data connection, you cannot install applications remotely to save data).
1. Open your PC browser and go to https://play.google.com/store/apps?hl=es.
of them. Sign in with the same Google account you use on your Android device.
3. Find the app you want to install and click the “Install” button.
A window will open where you can choose the Android device on which you want to install the application. Open the drop-down menu and select your mobile, tablet or Smart TV.
Enter your Google account access password again.
If everything went well, you will see a message on the screen that the app will be installed on the selected device soon. If the Android device is connected to a Wi-Fi network, the app should install in a minute or two at most.
2- Install apps through APK packages
Another fairly direct way to install applications without going through the official Google store is to resort to the famous APK installation packages. Just download the APK installation file compatible with our mobile.
We can find APKs of any app in trusted repositories like APK Mirror. Remember that in order to install APKs it is necessary to activate the “Install unknown applications” function in Android.
Also, keep in mind that APK files are usually one of the most common transmitters of viruses and malware. Avoid hacked apps, mods and hacks to avoid bad surprises and only use sites like APK Mirror, F-Droid, APK Pure or similar mentioned above.
3- Use other application repositories
Google Play is the most popular Android app store, but it’s not the only one. Some manufacturers like Samsung, Xiaomi Where Huawei have their own application stores (usually they are pre-installed on the phone) from which we can also download games and applications.
The catalog of available applications will not always be the same as Google Play, but they have a large wardrobe with hundreds of thousands of popular applications and tools.
Samsung: Galaxy Store
Amazon: Amazon AppStore
Huawei: Huawei App Gallery
4- Install apps by connecting Android device to PC
If your mobile is damaged or you have difficulty installing applications in the traditional way, you can also use ADB commands.
To install an app this way, you’ll need a PC, a USB cable, and the app’s APK installer package (you can download it from APK Mirror or one of the repositories we’ve mentioned in point 2).
Before you begin, enable USB debugging on your Android phone. You can see how to do it by following, which are:
1. Connect the mobile to a the Windows PC using a USB cable. You may need to install additional drivers for the phone to be recognized by the computer.
of them. Install the ADB driver package for Windows.
3. Now that everything is set up, press Win + R and run the “cmd” command to open a terminal window.
Type the following command to check if the PC has successfully detected the Android device:
adb commands adb shell commands adb wipe commands adb motorola adb commands moto g adb commands frp motorola commands adb bootloader adb commands lg adb commands backup commands adb sideload commands adb pdf commands adb windows commands adb sdk commands adb remove pattern commands adb install rom commands xiaomi commands adb commands adb commands for formatting adb tools moto g commands adb reboot commands adb commands on ubuntu root commands adb android adb commands adb and fastboot commands advanced adb commands android adb commands sdk 10 android adb commands run android adb commands adb command install apk list android adb command commands for minimal adb and fastboot all commands android adb commands do adb android commands to run no adb and fastboot basic adb commands adb reboot-bootloader commands fastboot command adb command adb connect command adb cmd commands cmd adb command adb cat command adb adb to change imei commands adb devices coman dos adb download android adb commands adb dos command download mode commands argement adb adb and fastboot commands adb wipe data commands adb download mode commands adb reboot download command adb comm et to unlock bootloader
If the “adb devices” command shows that a device is connected, we can now run the remote install command. That being said, make sure the APK installer package is in the same folder on the PC you are running the commands from (otherwise it will return an error message).
adb install app_name.apk
Replace “app_name.apk” with the name of the APK package you want to install. For example, to install WhatsApp we use the following command (assuming the file is called “com.whatsapp.apk”):
adb install com.instagram.apk
Once done, the PC will contact the Android device and remotely install the APK file that we have just indicated through the command and start enjoying the variety of applications for any use that it offers. Chance!
