Google app update combines Search and Maps

Google Search app is one of the most popular apps in the world. Whatever you are looking for, Google has the answer. For example, let’s say you need to know the battery capacity of iPhone OG. Ask Google and you’ll learn that the first iPhone model had a 1400 mAh battery. That’s about a third of the capacity of the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s 4,352mAh battery.

The Google search app knows everything and is the first place to go when looking for an answer

Or suppose you want to know who served Hank Aaron’s 715th Home Run record. Ask Google and the assistant will tell you that it was Dodger left-hander and former Yankee Al Downing who coughed up the record-tripper. Which Atlanta Braves reliever caught the home run in the bullpen? Again, ask Google and you’ll find that Tom House snatched the ball from Hammerin’ Hank’s bat after going over the fence.

The Google Search app recently received an update for Android users which was discovered on the app’s Google Play listing. Under the What’s new title, it says:
  • Use voice commands while navigating, even when your device isn’t connected. Try saying “Cancel my navigation”, “What is my ETA?” or “what’s my next turn?” In this scenario, you integrate two of the most used Google applications, Google Search and Maps.

• With the update, it is easier to access privacy settings from the home screen. Just tap on your Google account profile picture.

If you want to update the Google Search app on your Android phone, just open the Play Store and tap on the profile picture in the top right corner. Click Manage apps & device and Update all. You will be able to see whether or not the The Google Search app has an update out of the box. If so, click the Update banner and let nature take its course.

Of course, sometimes nature makes mistakes. Some users are complaining that after the latest Google app update, Google Assistant stopped updating. A user named Dan Hobbs writes: “Google Assistant won’t load or work. I can’t even access settings. I just installed Google Go and can use it now instead of Google Go. Google Assistant.”

The more you use the Google Search app, the better it gets, says Google.

A Google app user by the name of Angie Camacho described her issue with the app on the Google Play Store. “When I search, I can only type one letter before the page refreshes and goes to the bottom of the screen. Then I have to click the search bar again to be able to type the rest of my query. So annoying! I’ve updated the app and nothing seems to fix the problem. I’ll use another search engine until this is fixed. There’s also other issues, but that’s the one driving me crazy!”

Google responded by saying, “Hi Angie. Thank you for your review! If your app is having an issue, try the steps in this article: If you continue to have issues, please send a feedback report: Open the Google app > tap the profile picture or initial in the top right > Help and feedback > Send Feedback. Enjoy it!”

Google has a good idea about the app it wrote, stating that “The Google app keeps you up to date with the things that matter to you. Find quick answers, explore your interests, and stay up to date with Discover.” “The more you use the Google app,” says Google, “the better it gets.” And when you need an informed answer to a question that baffles even the experts, Google search is the place to go.
