Georgia opens the Tech Series Friday in Atlanta


ATHENS, GA.——The No. 14 Georgia Bulldogs will face No. 19 Georgia Tech in a three-game series starting Friday in Atlanta. The first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. and the game will be available on the Georgia Bulldog Sports Network and broadcast on ACC Network Extra.

Game 2 of the series is Saturday at a sold-out Foley Field in Athens at 2 p.m. on SEC Network+. Game 3 is Sunday at 2 p.m. in Lawrenceville at Coolray Field. Tech is the home team on Sunday and the game will be shown on ACC Network Extra. Sunday’s game will serve as the 19th annual Spring Classic For Kids baseball game to benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CH0A). Proceeds from ticket sales at Coolray go to fund critical patient and family initiatives at CHOA’s Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.

At 8-0, the No. 14 Georgia Bulldogs tied their best start since the 2012 club went 8-0. The 2009 team went 14-0 for the best start. The Bulldogs are batting .313 with nine homers and rank 14th nationally in ERA (1.90). Georgia has a fielding percentage of .980. Tech bats .342 with 19 home runs, a 3.94 ERA and a .971 fielding percentage.

In records dating back to 1898, Georgia leads the all-time series 215-166-2. Tech won both campus meetings last year (7-5 ​​in Athens, 7-6 in 14 innings in Atlanta) with no neutral site play due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Bulldogs swept a three-game streak from Tech in 2020. In the Spring Baseball Classic, Georgia holds a 12-6 advantage, including 1-0 at Coolray Field.

Baseball Home Game/Parking Tickets
Saturday’s Georgia Tech game at Foley Field is sold out. PURCHASE great seats from other fans through our official secondary ticketing partner StubHub.
Season tickets for 2022 season tickets are sold out, but there are three new flexible ticket packages available for 5, 10 and 15 games. They can include any game from the home schedule. Prices for these packages are $40 for five games, $70 for ten games, and $90 for 15 games.
Single-game tickets to most non-conference games as well as Thursday and Sunday SEC games are also options. Single game tickets are $10 while group tickets (10+ tickets) are $5 each. Currently, individual game sales and group tickets are not available for SEC games on Friday or Saturday or for Clemson or Georgia Tech games. Liquor sales available at Foley Field
Following the successful launch of alcohol sales at Stegeman Coliseum for men’s and women’s basketball games, Georgia Athletics announced that it will continue its pilot program in baseball and softball this year. In accordance with the SEC policy on alcohol at sporting events, UGAAA will sell a variety of domestic, imported, craft and premium beers at designated concession stands inside Foley Field. Ticket and parking information for Sunday’s game at Coolray Field
All tickets for the Spring Classic for Kids 2022 will be sent digitally. All tickets for this game are general admission. Individual tickets can be purchased at the Coolray Field box office or on ticket master for $20. Children under two do not need a ticket for the game, but must sit on the lap of a ticketed participant. General admission parking is $10.
