The Chamber music society (CMS) at Lincoln Center, New York, is partnering with The Violin Channel to offer a series of eight free digital concerts in July and August, each lasting approximately one hour.
Among the CMS artists featured is the violist VC Artist Matthieu lipman, violinists Kristin lee, Arnaud Sussmann, and Sean lee, pianists Gilles Vonsattel, and Wu Han, and the Calidore String Quartet.
The ensembles will perform an exciting selection of works by various composers, including that of Mozart Duo in G major for violin and viola, Baker Three pieces, by Farren Air Russian Varied, various Beethoven string quartets, by Ravel Sonata for violin and piano, and that of Schubert Quintet in C major.
All eight concerts were produced and conducted by Art documents this spring, with the generous support of Frederick R. Koch Foundation. They were recorded in the historic Frederick R. Koch Foundation Townhouse, an architecturally stunning location that provided the perfect backdrop for chamber music performances. The concerts honor the dedication of the late Frederick R. Koch to supporting the visual and performing arts.
The series will air every Monday night at 7:30 p.m. EDT on both Chamber Music Society website, where it will also be available on demand for one year after each premiere. You can also watch them on The Violin Channel on the premiere date and on demand for a week after each premiere.
